Event Policies
Non-Exhibiting / Non-Sponsoring Vendor Policy
Any Vendor that wishes to attend the trade show, education sessions, networking events, or any portion of any SSA state event without being a contracted Exhibitor or Sponsor must register and pay the Non-Exhibiting / Non-Sponsoring Vendor fee. This fee is non-negotiable, non-refundable after payment, and applies regardless of the number of hours or days the individual spends at the event. Even after paying the Non-Exhibiting / Non-Sponsoring Vendor fee, Non-Exhibiting / Non-Sponsoring Vendors may not distribute literature, samples, or promotional items on the show floor or in session rooms; display signage or branding of any kind; and, conduct sales meetings in public areas. Violation of these rules may result in immediate expulsion without refund and potential exclusion from future events.
Non-solicitation Policy
While the DSSA, IASSA, MNSSA, and MTSSA welcomes non-exhibiting vendors who have paid an admission fee to our conference & trade show, all SSA-managed states have a strict suitcasing policy. Non-exhibiting vendor companies may not solicit business via distribution of any materials, including but not exclusively, printed materials or handouts, on the Upper Midwest Self Storage conference trade show floor. Also, non-exhibiting vendor companies may not conduct meetings and/or presentations within the conference & trade show facility and surrounding premises owned by said facility during conference & trade show hours.
Exhibiting vendors, DSSA, IASSA, MNSSA, and MTSSA members, and staff who witness such activity are asked to gather printed materials and/or event invitations and provide them to the Upper Midwest Self Storage Conference and Trade Show staff, showing that a direct violation of this policy is about to take place or has taken place.
Any violation of this policy will result in an invoice and charge equal to the fee for one exhibit table being submitted for payment by the offending member/organization. The offending individual or company shall be banned from any future DSSA, IASSA, MNSSA, and MTSSA activities until said invoice is paid in full. Alternatively, DSSA, IASSA, MNSSA, and MTSSA may charge the non-exhibiting vendor’s credit card for the booth fee without providing any further notice to the non-exhibiting vendor. The non-exhibiting vendor consents to the credit card charge and agrees not to make a chargeback request related to such charge.
Payment & Cancellation Policy:
All registrations must include full payment and are non-refundable. The DSSA, IASSA, MNSSA, & MTSSA does not bill for payment or accept partial payments. DSSA, IASSA, MNSSA, & MTSSA will not issue any refunds, even if you are unable to attend the event. Attendees may be substituted for a registrant without an additional charge. DSSA, IASSA, MNSSA, & MTSSA must be notified in writing of any substitutions at least three days prior to the event.
Exhibitor Policies
An email will be sent to your company's representative 7-10 days prior to the event with exact times. Event exhibitors are required to set up prior to the event starting, tables are offered on a first come first served basis. Exhibitors that set up prior to the published time will have their materials removed from the room, and will be reassigned a space based on availability. Exhibitors are not permitted to pack up their event space until the meeting concludes. Repeat offenders may be docked national ranking points or unable to exhibit at future SSA managed events. Contact your event representative if you have any questions about the event schedule.
