National SSA To Oversee Nebraska

Alexandria, Virginia — The national Self Storage Association (SSA) and Nebraska Self Storage Owners Association (NSSOA) have agreed upon a partnership in which the SSA will use its staff and resources to help run Nebraska's state association.
"I am pleased that the Nebraska Self Storage Owners Association (NSSOA) board has approved an affiliation with the Self Storage Association (SSA)," said NSSOA President Geoff McGregor. "This partnership is designed to bring significant new value to Nebraska storage owners, operators, developers, managers, and industry vendors while maintaining our strong local focus on issues affecting storage operators throughout Nebraska.”
Julie LaRose, SSA’s SVP of membership and state association management, said SSA is excited to work with the NSSOA board and members.
"This transition means more resources, more education, and stronger representation for Nebraska," said LaRose. "Under SSA management, members gain expanded benefits like the monthly SSA Magazine, the upcoming NSSOA Annual Meeting, and a unified legislative voice when it matters most."
Among the many functions the SSA will oversee are membership recruitment and retention; event and meeting planning; educational seminars; a quarterly newsletter; board meeting agendas; and the monitoring of state legislative activity.
“I can't wait to get to know the Nebraska market and connect with NSSOA members," said Erin Lightfoot, SSA's director of education and events. "As we prepare for the Annual Meeting in Omaha on August 13, I am excited to be part of its continued growth in the years ahead. I also look forward to partnering with the dedicated advisory board to strengthen and expand membership.”
